How it works
Camina por Chile is a skill-based contest: progress is determined by each person's real effort, not by chance (it falls outside Law 19.995 on gambling casinos). Everyone who completes a circuit receives their finisher certificate; the first in each category receives a symbolic prize.
A finisher certificate for everyone who completes the circuit. A physical medal on paid circuits.

Legal terms of the contest
Draft · review with a lawyerThe bracketed fields and the final version must be validated with a lawyer before launching with real prizes and charges (Law 19.496 on consumer protection, Law 19.995 on gambling casinos, Law 19.628 / 21.719 on personal data). Tap each section to expand it.
01Organizer▾
[Legal name], Tax ID [No.], domiciled in [city], Chile. Contact: [email].
02Term and territory▾
Each circuit has its own time window, indicated on its detail page, or remains open until completed. Participation is open with no territorial limit; physical medals are shipped to the areas indicated for each circuit.
03Who can participate▾
Persons over [age] who register with a valid account. One person, one account. Accounts engaging in data fraud or impersonation are excluded.
04Game mechanics▾
The participant signs up for a circuit and category (walking, running, or cycling) and records their actual distance. The system advances their avatar and unlocks postcards at each checkpoint. Progress is determined exclusively by the effort and skill of the person, never by chance.
05Prizes and their nature▾
A digital finisher certificate for everyone who completes the circuit. Paid circuits also include a physical medal and extras. A symbolic prize [describe] for the first in each category. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable.
Pursuant to art. 36 of Law 19.496, the value of the prizes is disclosed, along with the [term]-day period to claim them from notification and the publication of results in the app. A prize not claimed within the period is deemed waived.
06Paid circuits, pricing, and the Full plan▾
There are free circuits and paid circuits. You can unlock a paid circuit individually, or subscribe to the Full plan monthly subscription, which grants access to all paid circuits while active. Prices are displayed and charged in Chilean pesos (CLP) through MercadoPago; the USD reference value is for informational purposes only.
The Full plan renews automatically each month for the amount and on the date stated, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your profile, as easily as you subscribed; cancellation stops future charges and keeps access until the end of the period already paid. If you have any doubt about a charge, contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it.
07Right of withdrawal and refunds▾
For distance purchases you have a right of withdrawal within 10 calendar days from purchase (art. 3 bis of Law 19.496; the period is extended if you do not receive written confirmation of the purchase, art. 12 A). Withdrawal applies as long as you have not started the circuit and the medal has not been shipped; once the digital service has begun or the physical product has been dispatched, it is considered rendered. To withdraw or request a refund, write to [email].
Full plan charges already accrued are not refunded; simply cancel to avoid future charges. [Withdrawal / started-service interaction: verify with a lawyer.]
08Shipping of physical medals▾
Medals for paid circuits are shipped to the address you provide. You are responsible for providing a correct and complete address; a re-shipment due to a wrong address may incur a surcharge. Delivery times are estimates and depend on the postal service; we are not liable for delays or third-party customs duties (import taxes, if any, are borne by the recipient).
Notwithstanding the above, the statutory warranty is honored: if the medal arrives defective or damaged, we replace it. Report non-delivery within [term] weeks of shipment.
09Determining the winner and tiebreakers▾
The first to complete 100% of the circuit on the Prize Track with a valid history wins. In the event of a technical tie, the timestamp of the record that closes the circuit prevails.
10Verification and appeal▾
Before awarding the prize, we verify that the entire history comes from non-manual sources and is free of alerts. If an alert arises, the case goes to human review and the participant may appeal within [term].
11Health and participant responsibility▾
Physical activity involves risks. You participate voluntarily and at your own risk, and declare that you are in adequate health to do so. Consult a doctor before starting. The organizer does not supervise your activity and is not liable for injuries, accidents, or harm arising from your participation.
12Limitation of liability▾
The platform is provided “as is”, subject to availability, with no warranty as to the accuracy of kilometers, GPS, or times. To the maximum extent permitted by Chilean law, the organizer's liability is limited to the amount paid for the respective circuit and does not extend to indirect damages, loss of third-party data (health apps, maps), or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits the non-waivable rights or the statutory warranty that Chilean law grants to consumers, nor does it exempt willful misconduct or gross negligence.
13Intellectual property and user content▾
The trademarks, maps, illustrations, and postcards belong to the organizer or its licensors. By uploading content (profile photo, screenshots) you grant us a limited license to operate the contest. We do not publish your screenshots; they are used only to validate your progress.
14Personal data▾
We process the minimum data needed to operate the contest (identity, profile photo, aggregated distance, payment data via MercadoPago) under the principle of minimization: from health hubs we receive only the total km and a source indicator, never the raw health data. The legal basis is your consent and the performance of the contract; we do not sell your data.
You have rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection, and portability. Law 19.628 applies and, from its entry into force (December 1, 2026), Law 21.719, with consent by affirmative action and breach notification. Write to us at [email] to exercise your rights. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
15Modification of the terms▾
The organizer may modify these terms for justified cause, notifying in the app with reasonable advance notice and respecting the rights already acquired by participants.
16Governing law and dispute resolution▾
These terms are governed by Chilean law. Any dispute shall be resolved before the competent courts of [city], without prejudice to the consumer's right to turn to SERNAC. No mandatory arbitration or foreign jurisdiction is imposed that would deprive the consumer of their natural judge.
17Accounts, fraud, and suspension▾
You are responsible for the security of your account and credentials. We may suspend or close accounts that engage in data fraud, cheating, impersonation, or breach of these terms. Proven cheating results in forfeiture of the prize and/or medal improperly obtained.
18Force majeure and validity of the clauses▾
We are not liable for failures arising from acts of God or force majeure (disasters, provider outages, postal disruptions). If any clause is declared null or unenforceable, the rest remain fully valid.
